Consultation Fee

Consultation fee is $225 for a 50 min session.

Medicare rebate of $96.85.

Payments are made in full by the day of the consultation by Direct Debt, or credit card. Medicare processing made after payment.

Unless you want to claim a Medicare or health insurance rebate, a GP referral is not necessary but it is preferable.

Cancellation Policy

To avoid the unnecessary application of No-Show, Cancellation or Reschedule Fees, please record your future bookings in your diary or your mobile phone as a reminder. Not cancelling the session within 48 hours in advance will lead to a fee being charged.

This fee is in place for two reasons:

- With less than 48 business hours notice, we are not able to offer the appointment to another client that would benefit from that time.

- If you do not attend a scheduled appointment, we still incur the overhead costs of the business facilities.

Referral and Rebate

You do not need a referral to start your therapy here. However, should you be eligible to claim the Medicare rebate, a Medicare Plan will need to be provided. Please speak to your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist for advice on the most appropriate plan for your needs.

Most private health funds offer rebates on psychological service. Rebates vary depending on your fund and your level of cover. Please contact your fund for their latest rebate information. All clients can be provided with a receipt post session where they are able to claim back from their private health insurer if covered.

You may also use your NDIS funding if you are a Self- or Planner-Managed participant. Unfortunately, due to NDIS Guidelines, Agency-Managed participants are unable to use their NDIS funding in this clinic.

Confidentiality

All personal information gathered during provision of the psychological service will remain confidential and secure except when:

1. It is subpoenaed by a court of law; or

2. Failure to disclose the information would place the child or another person at risk of harm; or

3. Your prior informed consent has been obtained to provide or receive information from another professional or agency, such as your child's school, GP, paediatrician, legal representative, or relevant government department.

Consent & Release form

As part of the provision of psychological services, we will need to collect and record personal information from you that is relevant to your current situation as a necessary part of the psychological assessment and treatment conducted. This is needed in the event that your child's case requires liaison with any third party. Your informed consent for such liaison is essential. We will discuss this portion of the form and I will advise if third party liaison (such as with a school, doctor or other party) is indicated.

Medicare Clients

If you have been referred by your doctor through the Better Access to Mental Health Scheme, it is a requirement under Medicare that a letter be sent by your psychologist to your doctor after the initial appointment, after six sessions and after ten sessions, or at the time of completion of treatment. This letter will detail the outcome or your assessment and treatment with your psychologist.
